Entertainment a Feature of Christkindlmarkt

Live Entertainment all day, both days, at the Musik Café located at the FPHS Practice Gym Markt Site at this year’s Ferdinand Christkindlmarkt to be held November 18-19.  The Musik Café located in the Forest Park High School Markt site is where continuous (free) live musical performances are planned both days of the markt.

The slate of performers include many very talented local performers. Also on stage will be a live Glockenspiel, or cuckoo clock at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Free Concerts – not to be missed!

An amazing 98 member chorus, the Centennial Singers, will be performing new seasonal selections and traditional Christmas carols on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. EST at St. Ferdinand Church.  There will be a free Sacred Voices concert  on Sunday at 3 p.m. EST inside the Monastery Immaculate Conception Church.

 The Christkindlmarkt is open on Saturday, November 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST , and on Sunday, November 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST , at six markt sites: the Ferdinand Community Center, the YMCA Antiques Markt, Forest Park High School (two gyms, the lower commons, and the cafeteria), the Monastery Event Center, Ferdinand Elementary Gym,  and the Ferdinand American Legion.  Over 200 booths featuring antiques, folk art, quality handcrafted items, food, and wine will be showcased at this annual event.  Food and drink are available at each site.
